MTU Maintenance, a division of German company MTU Aero Engines, will maintain the General Electric CF34-40E engines that power Kenya Airways' fleet of Embraer 190 regional jets for five years.
The company will provide the maintenance services at its site near Berlin, Munich-based MTU says.
Nairobi-based Kenya Airways operates 15 E190s, according to Flight Fleets Analyzer.
In September, Air Canada partner Sky Regional Airlines likewise selected MTU to maintain the CF34-8E powerplants on its E175s for ten years.
Also in September news broke that MTU and Lufthansa Technik were considering forming a partnership to maintain Pratt & Whitney PW1000G geared turbofans.
MTU manufactures the PW1000G's low-pressure turbine and a section of the high-pressure compressor.
