Canadian-based Mustang Engineered Technical Apparel (META), of Richmond, British Columbia, has developed a twin-chamber constant-wear lifejacket for pilots and passengers flying over water in light aircraft. The slim lifejacket, which can be worn beneath a flight suit and is compatible with seat harnesses, is also aimed at pilots of float-equipped aircraft, helicopters and long-range patrol aircraft. The jacket's two inflatable cells, fed by a CO2 canister, are supplemented by an orally inflatable reserve chamber. The jacket is self-righting for unconscious wearers, and contains survival accessories such as a whistle and an 8h, water-activated rescue light. A sea dye marker is available as an option.
