Two leading fractional ownership companies, NetJets and Flight Options, have appointed National Airways as their exclusive aircraft resale representative for Africa.
The Johannesburg-based operator will be responsible for selling business aircraft - typically between five and seven years old - that are being rotated out of their fleets.
"NAC has access to all the aircraft coming off these programmes," said NAC sales director J P Fourie.
"But we will only identify certain aircraft that we feel represent the most value and suitability to our particular customer requirements, and market those on a selected basis."
NetJets has a growing fleet of around 150 aircraft across the range, from the Dassault Falcon 7X to the Cessna Citation XLS, while Flight Options' 80-plus line includes the Hawker 400XP/800XP and the Embraer Legacy 600.
Fourie said the market in Africa is thriving. "Even in these depressed markets we anticipate that we may be able to sell 10 to 15 aircraft in the first year."
