Nordic Aviation Capital has issued $381 million worth of unsecured senior notes via a private placement along with a $105 million unsecured Schuldschein.

The lessor says that the issuances consist of five tranches with maturities set at three, five, seven, eight and 10 years.

It is the company’s second private placement following its inaugural in June 2017, while the Schuldschein is its first venture into that market.

NAC comments that the issuances represent its continuing “migrating to an unsecured financing structure” and focus on widening its funding sources.

“We are very pleased with both these issues and the continuing operational flexibility it affords NAC as we continue to expand our customer base,” says chief executive Søren Overgaard.

The private placement was arranged by Citigroup Global Markets and BNP Paribas, while the Schuldschein was arranged by Investec.

In recent years Goshawk has tapped $195 million from two Schuldschein issues.

Schuldschein is a specialist private placement market in Germany that has usually been used by local firms.
