NASA competition

Lockheed Martin has beaten Boeing in the competition to win from NASA the $3.4 billion Consolidated Space Operations Contract. The mission communications and data services operations cover five NASA centres - Johnson, Kennedy, Marshall, Goddard and the JetPL - and will be managed by a single industrial contractor for the first time in the space agency's 40-year history.
