The US National Air Transportation Association (NATA) has formed the Fractional Aircraft Business Council (FABC) designed, it says, "to represent and promote the interests of aviation businesses that sell and manage fractional aircraft ownership programmes".
The Washington DC-based association denies the formation of FABC will create a conflict of interests for its established charter members, as most of the committee are users of charter and operate dedicated charter services.
Association president James Coyne says: "NATA is an advocate for every segment of our industry. Members who provide and support fractional aircraft deserve to be heard at the US Federal Aviation Administration, in Congress, and before airport commissions."
FABC members include Alpha Flying, Bombardier Flexjet, Cessna CitationShares, Executive Jet's NetJets, Flight Options, HeliFlite Shares, Raytheon Travel Air, Sikorsky Shares and United Airlines' fractional subsidiary.
