The Indian navy’s planned introduction of a carrier-borne version of the Tejas light combat aircraft took an initial step on 1 February, when a navy pilot flew the Aeronautical Development Agency’s (ADA) second technology demonstrator of the type. The Tejas programme’s eighth and ninth prototypes will be naval variants, the ADA says.
