StandardAero (Booth 899) received authorization from Honeywell (Booth 2000) to perform repairs to the HTF7000 engine at a signing ceremony at NBAA Monday afternoon. StandardAero will cover hot section, front-end and other internal and external troubleshooting and engine repairs.

The company is among the first of three domestic service centers to receive this authorization from Honeywell.

In addition, StandardAero will be a launch partner for Honeywell, generating the first Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for Honeywell’s DU-875 flight deck upgrade program for Falcon 900C and EX series aircraft. This upgrade program will replace the existing Honeywell Primus 2000 DU-870 cathode ray tube (CRT) displays with new Honeywell DU-875 liquid crystal displays (LCD).

Standard Aero - Honeywell signing

“The DU-875 flight deck upgrade provides significant advantages over existing CRT displays and a path for future functionality, such as synthetic vision and enhanced navigation,” says John Bolton, Honeywell VP, business and general aviation aftermarket. “Installation can be accomplished in a matter of days as opposed to weeks with other upgrades of this magnitude.”

The new LCD displays will include a built-in advanced file graphics server allowing the system to display electronic charts, maps, XM graphical weather and video; a capability not available with the current CRT displays.
