After 25 years in the business of tip-to-tail private jet maintenance, Jet Support Services (JSSI) is expanding its offering in several sectors, including the market for helicopter overhaul, it announced at NBAA today.
The company, which built its name as an independent provider of hourly cost maintenance for business jets, will now offer similar services to various rotorcraft.
Although JSSI has worked in the rotary-wing segment for nearly two decades, it says it will now add a number of new types to its support types including the AgustaWestland AW109, Airbus Helicopters AS350 and Bell 206L-3, 412 and 427. The company is offering scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for engines and nearly all assemblies and systems associated with the airframes.
JSSI also is expanding its partnerships with both Delta Private Jets and VistaJet, which has agreed to enroll its fleet of Bombardier Challenger 350 jets into the MRO provider's hourly cost maintenance programme.
VistaJet has a standing firm order for 20 Challenger 350s with a further 20 of the super-midsize jets covered by options, all of which will eventually be enrolled with JSSI, says VistaJet. So far 18 of them have been inducted into the programme, with another seven to be added by year-end.
Delta, meanwhile, has enrolled 14 of its 50-plus aircraft aircraft in JSSI maintenance programmes since January, with another 30 to be added by the end of the first quarter of 2015..
“Our partnership with JSSI expands the range of capabilities already provided by Delta Private Jets, while enhancing the aircraft management services we provide,” says Cyril Turner, president of Delta Private Jets.
