Aeromexico has applied to begin service on four US routes, and is requesting for approval to display partner Delta Air Lines' code on all of them.
The SkyTeam carrier plans to launch service on Leon-San Francisco, Leon-Sacramento, Morelia-Fresno and Puerto Vallarta-Chicago.
Aeromexico wants to launch the flights in July with Boeing 737s, it says in a filing with the US Department of Transportation.
The carrier will be the only operator on all the routes with the exception of Puerto Vallarta-Chicago, schedules in Innovata show.
American Airlines and United Airlines both operate nonstop between Puerto Vallarta and Chicago O'Hare.
Separately, Aeromexico and Delta are seeking to withdraw an earlier request for service to San Diego from both Mexico City and Guadalajara.
The withdrawals are likely linked to the opening of a new bridge to the USA from Tijuana airport which is just across the US-Mexico border, making it easier for San Diego travellers to use the airport.
Aeromexico already serve Tijuana from both Mexico City and Guadalajara.
