Air France is to deploy Airbus A380s on its transatlantic service to Atlanta from Paris Charles de Gaulle next year.
The SkyTeam carrier – a partner of Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines – says it will use the A380 to replace one of its two daily Boeing 777 services.
Air France says substitution with the 516-seat aircraft, which is configured in four classes, will offer 236 additional seats per flight.
The airline says the A380 will be introduced on the route at the end of March 2019.
It already uses the type on routes to four other US destinations – New York JFK, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington – as well as services to Abidjan, Johannesburg, Mexico City and Shanghai.
