Capital Airlines has filed an application with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) seeking to operate services to Birmingham.

The carrier intends to operate a once-weekly Beijing-Birmingham and Hangzhou-Birmingham services, using Airbus A330 aircraft. The services could commence as early as April 2016, says the CAAC.

The CAAC is calling for those with comments to submit them by 10 November.

Schedules in Flightglobal’s network data service Innovata shows that Capital Airlines will be the only operator on the two routes.
