China Airlines has deployed Airbus A350-900s on its services to Vancouver, completing its aircraft upgrade programme on its North American network.
The carrier now deploys either Boeing 777-300ERs or A350s on its services to Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Vancouver, which have replaced aged A340s and 747s.
From 29 October, the carrier will also deploy A350s on the Taipei-Honolulu route, and from 1 December, it will launch four-times weekly services to London Gatwick, also using A350s. On the same date, the new widebody will be used on its Taipei-Sydney services, which will increase from four-times weekly to twice-daily.
Flight Fleets Analzyer shows that the carrier has seven A350s in service. The airline adds that the remaining eight of the type on order are scheduled to be delivered in 2018.
China Airlines also has 24 A330-300s, 10 777-300ERs and six 747-400s, which it uses on other long-haul services to Europe and Australia.
