Delta Air Lines will begin new service between Las Vegas and San Jose, California, in December, a new point-to-point route in its network.
The Atlanta-based SkyTeam Alliance carrier will offer three-times daily service on the route with 76-seat Embraer 175s from 30 December, it confirms.
The route will be the first point-to-point one from either Las Vegas or San Jose by Delta, which serves both only from its hubs, Innovata FlightMaps Analytics shows.
An airline spokeswoman declines to comment on the new market.
Southwest Airlines is the only carrier offering service on the San Jose-Las Vegas route today, Innovata schedules show, but both American Airlines and Reno Air have served it in the past.
