Middle Eastern carrier Etihad Airways is suspending services to the Qatari capital Doha, following the sudden decision by several countries to cut diplomatic ties with the Gulf state.
Etihad Airways is based in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, which is severing links with Qatar, along with a number of other states including Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
The airline is the first to react publicly following the spat, but a planned closure of airspace access is likely to result in similar measures by other operators.
Etihad says it will operate its Doha service on 5 June but suspend the route from 6 June. The airline flies several times daily between the two capitals using Airbus A320-family jets.
It says it "regrets any inconvenience" resulting from the development.
