Frontier Airlines plans to add 21 new cities to its network through the spring of 2018, connecting them with more than 85 new routes.
The Denver-based ultra low-cost carrier will add Albuquerque, Boise, Buffalo, Calgary, Charleston (South Carolina), El Paso, Fargo, Fresno, Grand Rapids, Jackson Hole, Jacksonville, Little Rock, Louisville, Oklahoma City, Ontario, Palm Springs, Pensacola, Reno, Spokane, San Jose (California) and Tulsa to its map from October through next spring.
Of the new cities, Frontier has previously served 16, including Albuquerque, Calgary, Fargo, Palm Springs, Reno and San Jose.
“Customers will benefit not only from the broad new selection of nonstop routes, but our growing network will provide more than 1,000 new connecting route options,” says Barry Biffle, chief executive of Frontier, in a statement.
Most of the growth will occur at the airline's Denver International airport base, where it will add 21 new routes.
All of the new routes will operate either daily, four-times weekly or three-times weekly, a Frontier spokesman says.
Frontier operates a fleet of 68 Airbus A320 family aircraft, the Flight Fleets Analyzer shows.
