Scottish carrier Loganair is to preserve five routes previously operated by its sister airline BMI Regional.
Both carriers are owned by the Airline Investments group.
BMI Regional, which was operating services under the 'Flybmi' brand, ceased operations on 16 February.
Loganair says it intends to "secure" five routes, three from Aberdeen and two from Newcastle, following BMI Regional's filing for administration.
The Aberdeen routes – to Bristol, Oslo and Esbjerg – will begin on 4 March while those from Newcastle, to Stavanger and Brussels, will start on 25 March.
Loganair managing director Jonathan Hinkles says the airline is also evaluating the broader network of its sister carrier, examining routes which "align" with its own strategy.
"We are also working on employment opportunities for pilots, cabin crew and engineering support staff to strengthen the Loganair team," he adds.
Loganair operates a mixed fleet, primarily Saab 2000 and 340 turboprops, complemented by other regional types including Embraer ERJs, the same jets used by BMI Regional.
