Greek carrier Aegean Airlines is opening 18 new routes next year including 11 from Athens.
The Star Alliance member states that its 2018 network will include four connections from the capital to Italy – with flights to Turin, Bologna, Palermo and Lamezia Terme – plus services to Malaga and Basel.
It will also operate to cities in Eastern Europe including Zagreb, Vilnius, Zadar, Skopje and Cluj Napoca.
Aegean Airlines says it is expanding in "key markets" which are the "main sources of tourism" for Greece.
It says its network will provide access between Athens and 81 overseas destinations.
Aegean's development next year will feature seven new regional connections: Corfu-Moscow, Santorini and Mykonos to Tel Aviv, Rhodes-Lyon, and flights to Beirut from Rhodes, Mykonos and Heraklion.
