NokScoot plans to begin Bangkok Don Mueang-Shanghai Pudong services on 25 February.
The service will initially operate four-times weekly, before raising it to daily on 4 March. It will deploy Boeing 777-200s between the two cities.
FlightGlobal schedules data shows that Shanghai will be the sixth destination in China NokScoot will operate to.
The airline will also compete with eight other carriers on flights to Shanghai from Bangkok's Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports, including Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Thai AirAsia X, Thai Airways International and Thai Lion Air.
