Norwegian has started offering fares on Argentinean domestic routes, identifying six initial destinations which will be served from mid-October.
The airline will operate the flights through its Norwegian Air Argentina subsidiary, which obtained an operating licence in Janaury.
Norwegian Air Argentina will conduct services from Buenos Aires to the tourism centres of Cordoba, Mendoza, Iguazu, Bariloche, Neuquen and Salta.
The airline will start flying the routes, using Boeing 737-800s, from 16 October.
“Argentina has enormous potential,” says chief executive Bjorn Kjos. “These routes are just the beginning of our plans in South America.”
Norwegian serves Buenos Aires’ Ezeiza airport from London Gatwick.
