Latvia's Air Baltic has started deploying the Bombardier CS300 for flights to Moscow.
The Riga-based carrier says it yesterday operated its first commercial CS300 flight to the Russian capital's Sheremetyevo airport, having previously assigned Boeing 737s to the route.
Last last year, the airline became the CS300's first operator and the CSeries family's second, after Swiss. Air Baltic now has three CS300s in service and another 17 on order. Deliveries of these will continue until April 2019, Flight Fleets Analyzer indicates.

The CS300 has already been deployed to several destinations including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Munich, Rome and Tallinn.
Air Baltic chief executive Martin Gauss describes the type's performance as "beyond our expectations".

Sheremetyevo's commercial deputy director general Denis Pashkovsky states: "We are confident that this comfortable, spacious and environment-friendly plane will be loved by our passengers and make the flights between Riga and Sheremetyevo airport even more popular."
FlightGlobal schedules data shows that Aeroflot also serves Riga from Sheremetyevo, using Airbus A320s and Sukhoi Superjets.
