At least one of the explosions at Brussels airport has been attributed, by Belgium’s federal prosecutor, to a suicide bomb attack.
Two explosions occurred in the departure hall of the Belgian hub, said Frederic van Leeuw during a briefing on 22 March.
He said that one detonation was “probably” initiated by a suicide bomber, adding that personnel subsequently had to check a “lot of luggage” for possible additional threats.
