A new codeshare agreement between United Airlines and Vistara enables United customers to book domestic travel to 26 destinations in India on flights operated by the New Delhi-based carrier.
Among the destinations in the codeshare are Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Goa, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur and Varanasi.
Chicago-based United operates year-round daily flights between New York/Newark and Delhi and Mumbai, and added a year-round route between San Francisco and New Delhi in December 2019. The San Francisco-New Delhi route operates daily through 28 March and thrice weekly during the summer season, United tells Cirium.
“Our relationship with Vistara opens up even more options for customers to travel between our East and West Coast hubs and multiple destinations throughout India,” John Gebo, United’s senior vice president of alliances, states.
Vistara has 19 Airbus A320neos, 13 A320s and seven Boeing 737NGs in service, Cirium fleets data shows. It has orders for 30 additional A320neos, six A321neos and six Boeing 787-9s.
