Wizz Air is temporarily pulling back several of its new Norwegian domestic services during November.
That carrier says it has “decided to implement some short-term temporary flight cancellations” following recommendations from the Norwegian government that individuals hold back from domestic travel.
“The airline continues to rigorously monitor the situation and the recommendations as well as follow all respective regulations or restrictions in Norway and hope that its full scheduled programme can be operated in December,” it adds.
In October, Wizz said it would establish a base at Oslo Gardermoen and operate domestic services to Bergen, Tromso and Trondheim from early November, adding 1.5 million seats to the market annually.
All three routes are currently served by both Norwegian and SAS, while Bergen and Trondheim are also served by Wideroe.
