Jeppersen, the German aviation services company here at the show (E204) has announced a new joint venture with Swiss-based consultancy Qualicon.

The JV SkyManagement International will offer business re-engineering, quality management and process outsourcing for the aviation industry.

SkyManagement will operate from offices in Frankfurt, Germany; Denver, Colorado, USA; and Beijing, China and offer aviation consultancy services it claims are unrivalled worldwide.

"Unlike other consulting companies we are focused on the aviation business and offer not only consulting services but also assist in optimising the customer's cost structure by taking over processes that are not part of their core business," says sales and marketing director Rolf W Strub.

Jeppersen itself has won a three-year contract with Executive Jet to establish an international trip-planning organisation at EJ's NetJets flight operations centre in Columbus, Ohio. The operation will be staffed 24 hours, seven days a week by Jeppersen personnel.

• This month has also seen former Jeppersen executive Paul Sandersen given the National Aeornautic Association's Elder Statesman in Aviation award.
