Turkey and Kazakhstan have reached a deal to open scheduled flights linking the Turkish resort city of Antalya with Almaty, Astana and Karaganda.
The agreement allows eights weekly flights from airlines from each country on links from the Kazakh cities to Antalya.
“We have many times discussed with Turkish colleagues the possibility of flights between the two countries and, given the popularity of this destination among our citizens, it was decided to open 16 additional flights per week for the entire summer season 2014," says Beken Seidakhmetov, chairman of the civil aviation committee at the Kazakh ministry of transport and communications.
