The UK Civil Aviation Authority (E607g) has announced that it will offer new flightcrew examination services from 2006.
The examination will be run by International Services, the consultancy and training arm of the UK CAA. Courses will be run in accordance with the theoretical knowledge requirements, procedures and training syllabus of the JAA Joint Aviation Requirements for Flight Crew Licensing (JAR-FCL).
Head of international services Sandy Sawyer says: “We want to promote all our services – examinations, internal and external training services and consultancy.”
She adds that although the UK CAA already deals with clients in the Middle East who have expressed a desire for its services, International Services would like to raise the profile of the organisation in the area, generate interest and evaluate potential markets.
“The International Services team is keen to expand examination services and work with clients to support the imminent growth in the flight-training sector.”
Dubai is the team’s first air show.
