New-Generation F-18 Trainer

An advanced McDonnell Douglas (MDC) F-18 operational flight trainer, in which pilots can practise and be scored on air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons delivery and electronic countermeasures, has been delivered to the US Naval Reserves by Hughes Training. The unit delivered to the New Orleans Naval Air Station on 18 February is the first of four, which Hughes is building under subcontract to MDC.
