Israel has requested a foreign military sale of 35 Sikorsky UH-60L utility helicopters in a deal valued at $525 million. Included in the deal are 99 General Electric T700 engines. Meanwhile, Spain has ordered six SikorskySH-60BSeahawk naval helicopters. The $77.4 million deal includes kits to upgrade the Spanish navy's six present Seahawks to the same improved Block 1 standard as the new aircraft. Sikorsky will also supply armament kits to equip in-service SH-60s with the Hellfire missile. Sikorsky will upgrade one aircraft while the Spanish navy will update the remainder.
