Although RSK-MiG failed to bring the promised MiG-29SMT to Le Bourget, Nezavisimoye Voennoye Obozreniye revealed on Monday night that a new version of the aircraft, perhaps designated MiG-29SMT-3, is under development. The new variant is primarily an upgrade configuration, intended for export customers, and has Fazotron-NIIR Zhuk (Beetle) radar.
