Lynton International Holdings has agreed to buy aviation sales and maintenance firm Hawker Pacific from Saab.

Saab will initially maintain a "substantial interest" and continue to be represented on the board of the company.

Christopher Tennant, controlling shareholder of Lynton International Holdings, will become Hawker Pacific chairman. Hawker Pacific acts as Raytheon/Beechcraft representative in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the South Pacific, as well as Indonesia, the Philippines, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
