Yak UK and Skycraft Services have received UK Civil Aviation Authority certification for the Hoffman HO-V183K three-blade propeller to be fitted to the single-seat Yak-50. CAA certification is also expected for the propeller's use on the two-seater Yak-52 (pictured above). The propeller is designed to produce low vibration levels and, claims Yak UK, provides an extra 400 ft/min (2m/s) rate of climb at sea level.
