China Southern Airlines has launched all-cargo services between Shanghai and Chicago. The carrier's existing thrice-weekly Shenzhen-Chicago cargo flights continue as normal while Shanghai is served by way of return flights from Chicago to the Chinese city's Pudong International Airport, continuing on to Shenzhen. In other news, cargo, mail and luggage volumes have increased by over 33% in the month since China Southern merged with Zhongyuan Airlines. It has closed three cargo stations, opened two more and raised cargo charges 30% since the merger.
