Lockheed Martin's C-130J tactical transport formally entered US Air Force service at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas on 16 April. The service follows the Australian, Danish, Italian and UK air forces in fielding the C-130J, which is also in US Coast Guard and US Marine Corps use. The USAF has signed a multi-year deal for an initial 40C-130Js.
