A new Turkish airline, Star Hava Yollari, is being formed to provide regular and ad hoc cargo charters to destinations in Europe and the Middle East. Negotiations are under way for the acquisition of a Boeing 727-200F freighter for a start of services in October. The airline's main base will be at Istanbul's Ataturk International Airport.
