The RNZAF now has only three bases, including two in the North Island:
Ohakea ("Air Attack" with 20 A4K Skyhawks and flying training with 17 Aermacchi MB339CBs and 15 CT-4B piston-engined Airtrainers).
Whenuapai (Maritime - 5P-3K Orions, Transport - 5CH-130H Hercules and nine Andovers and helicopters. 13 Iroquois, plus five Bell 47GB-2s for basic training) and one support base in the South Island.
Woodbourne (Ground training and Aircraft Repair).
