Newcastle College in the UK is hoping to overhaul its aviation training facilities with a £3 million ($5.65 million) redevelopment.

The college has earmarked £1 million for the work and is moving ahead with architects’ plans in anticipation of additional funding being approved by the local development agency shortly.

The college, one of the main partners in the Newcastle Aviation Alliance consortium, will relocate its BTEC National Diploma in Aerospace, cabin crew training, and other aviation programmes, to a new facility in an unused hangar.
