Singapore signs - Singapore Airlines has signed the contract for up to 10 ultra-long-range Airbus A340-500s, confirming an earlier commitment. Deliveries will be completed by the middle of 2003. Transaer PIA contract - Irish charter airline Transaer has signed a five-year contract with Pakistan International (PIA) under which it will supply four Airbus A300s, plus crews, to assist in the annual Haj programme. Island dash - Okinawa-based Ryukyu Air Commuter has placed a follow-on order for one Dash 8Q-100 turboprop for delivery in December. Ansett Jetstreams - Ansett New Zealand is leasing three Jetstream 32EPs for use on regional services by subsidiary Rex Aviation.
