US operator Republic Airways Holdings appears to have cancelled the order for 40 Airbus A220-300s long-held by the company.
Republic no longer features as a customer for the airframer according to its latest backlog figures.
It had originally ordered the jets in 2010, when they were still known as Bombardier CS300s.
Removal of the A220 deal means Airbus's net order total, for the year so far, fell back from 88 to 79 aircraft.
This was despite improved long-haul activity in July, when the airframer secured orders for 22 A350-900s, comprising 20 for Air China plus a pair for lessor DAE Capital.
DAE's agreement offsets cancellation of a pair of A350-900s originally assigned to Hong Kong Airlines, whose commitment has been cut from 15 to 13.
Airbus also formally recorded the order for eight A330neo twinjets from Virgin Atlantic, a deal unveiled during the Paris air show.
Single-aisle activity for July was relatively quiet. Iberia booked a pair of A320neos and a private customer ordered a single A319neo.
Airbus delivered 458 aircraft over the first seven months of this year, compared with the 380 at the same point in 2018.
