Dutch airline Transavia has ordered eight new Boeing 737-800s, with an option for another 12. Egyptair has ordered three Boeing 737-200s as part of its fleet modernisation programme.

SAS has placed orders for two additional MD-90s and will take delivery of its first six in the second half of next year.

BWIA International Airways has ordered five Embraer EMB-145 aircraft with an option on five more.

International Lease Finance Corporation of America has ordered three more A321s.

KLM is to replace its fleet of four Fokker F28s with four Fokker 70 jetliners. Operated by its subsidiary KLM Cityhopper, they will be acquired over a three-year operating lease.

French regional carrier Flandre Air has ordered two Beech 1900D airliners, and taken options on a further four.
