Kazakhstan is to boost its fleet of C295 medium transports to eight aircraft, under a new deal signed with Airbus Defence & Space.
Six of the twin-engined turboprops are already in service with the Kazakhstan air force, Flight Fleets Analyzer shows. The oldest of these were delivered in January 2013.
Announcing the deal on 20 April, Airbus says it "covers the final two aircraft included in a memorandum of understanding signed in 2012". The airframer adds that both aircraft will be delivered "in the second half of this year".
With its eight-aircraft transaction with Almaty now completed, Airbus says its C295 programme sales have reached 186 units. Flight Fleets Analyzer shows 154 of the type as being in active service.
