Airbus has revealed that an undisclosed customer has ordered 14 of the re-engined A330neo.
All 14 aircraft are the -900neo variant, the larger of the two versions being offered.
Airbus confirmed the agreement during a briefing at the Singapore air show. The A330neo has secured orders for 186 aircraft, all but 10 of which are for the larger variant.
The airframer has included the 28 January order in its backlog figures for the first month of 2016, which also revealed a cancellation for seven A330-300s.
Garuda Indonesia's order backlog for the type has been reduced by seven, from 24 to 17 aircraft, the Airbus data indicates. Gulf Air's dormant order for six A330s has also been removed.
Airbus's January orders also included a pair of A320s for Chinese lessor CALC, giving it net orders for nine aircraft for the month – during which it delivered 22 aircraft including its first A320neo.
