LOCKHEED MARTIN'S NEW A2100 spacecraft bus will be used in the company's $650 million Asia Cellular Satellite (ACeS) network programme. The satellite, equipped with large antennae manufactured by Harris, will provide a mobile-telephone communications system for the Far East and Asian regions, and will be operated by companies from Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand.
