Nextant Aerospace has secured a 10-aircraft order for its remanufactured 400XT jet from Singapore-based Asia Pacific Jets.
All 10 aircraft will be delivered over three years, with the first two due to be handed over by the end of 2012. A number will be outfitted as air ambulances, with the remainder configured as regular business jets.
Asia Pacific Jets will also serve as a sales agent in Asia for the 400XT.
Additionally, Asia Pacific Jets will partner with Hong Kong-based air ambulance specialist AirMed Asia, a subsidiary of US firm AirMed International, to open a new Singapore base to co-ordinate maintenance and warranty support for Nextant Aerospace in the region. This is scheduled to open later this year.
AirMed International is an operator of Beechcraft 400A and 400XP aircraft in the air ambulance role. Jeffrey Tolbert, chief executive of AirMed International, adds: "The Nextant 400XT will offer AirMed Asia and our partners at Asia Pacific Jets everything we like about the Beechjet, and everything one would expect from a brand-new light jet, but at a fraction of the cost."
The Nextant 400XT uses a remanufactured Beechjet 400A/XP airframe, which is fitted with new Williams FJ44-3AP turbofan engines and a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite.
