NORDAM HAS opened a thrust-reverser repair centre in Singapore in a move to provide airlines in the Asia-Pacific region with reduced turnaround times. The centre, near Singapore's Changi International Airport, is equipped to repair reversers on the CFM International CFM56-3, General Electric CF6-50 and -80 and Pratt & Whitney PW4000 turbofans.

Nordam Singapore general manager Wong Yoon Sang says that the centre will allow airlines in the region to "...gain both valuable freight space [which would otherwise be used to transport the reversers for repair in the USA] and reduced turnaround times". These can range up to 90 days.
