William Brackney has been appointed vice-president for business operations and Wylie Smith vice-president for finance at the Electronic Sensors and Systems division of Northrop Grumman, of Los Angeles, California. They will be based at Baltimore, Maryland. Brackney, most recently vice-president for business management on the B-2 bomber programme, joined the company in 1974 from McDonnell Douglas Astronautics. Smith, with the company since 1968, was formerly director of business operations for military and commercial programmes at the Commercial Aircraft division in Dallas, Texas, and, most recently, was vice-president for corporate contracts and pricing.
