Northwest Airlines has converted 30 options on Airbus A320 family aircraft to firm orders. Deliveries will take place between 2002 and 2004 on 18 A319s and 12 A320s. Northwest, which was the US launch customer for the A320 at the Paris air show two years ago, has received 70 of a total of 150 firm orders.
