Richard Zella has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice-president, technical operations, by Northwest Airlines of Minneapolis. His most recent position was general manager at Chrysler. Zella replaces Chris Doan, who will assume the position as vice-president for aircraft-maintenance operations. David Fielding takes up the newly created position of vice-president for aircraft projects and programmes.
