Norway has taken delivery of its first of four C-130J tactical transports at Lockheed Martin's Marietta plant in Georgia, with the aircraft scheduled to arrive at Gardermoen airport near Oslo on 25 November.
Lockheed will deliver a second stretched-fuselage C-130J-30 to the Royal Norwegian Air Force next year, with the service's two remaining examples to follow during 2010.

Ordered in 2007 under a Foreign Military Sales deal with the US government, the C-130Js will replace Norway's retired fleet of five C-130Hs, which entered service in 1969.
