Norwegian has again adjusted its fleet plans to take an additional two Boeing 787-9s by 2020.
The Scandinavian low-cost carrier says the pair of Dreamliners will arrive on lease from CIT Aerospace in 2018, the same year that two extra 787-9s leased from AerCap are set to be delivered, following a deal announced in March.
Thus will Norwegian's 787 fleet reach 42 by 2020.
Chief executive Bjorn Kjos says the leased aircraft are needed "to offer customers more routes and make our intercontinental operation even more competitive".
The airline has also exercised eight of its 100 options on the 737 Max 8, taking its firm orders for the re-engined narrowbody to 108.
Norwegian is the European launch customer for the Max 8.
